Coach House Travel was established in December 1986 by Mr Les Watts who, after serving his apprenticeship at Durant Sales and Service at Broadmayne, joined Bere Regis Coaches as a bus conductor. Later he trained as a driver and moved briefly to South Central Coaches, before returning, and eventually becoming Area Representitive.

With new-found skills Les transfered to Trathens Holiday's of Plymouth, then to Dorset Queen Coaches. Then after 15 years experience with these various companies, he decided he had sufficient experience to go it alone - initially from a small office at 17 High East Street, Dorchester. Growth followed quickly and Starline Taxis was aquired, adding to the already well established firm.

In 1988 they began contract work for the Social Services. Gradually the firm progresses into mini-buses and coaches and the company now operates a fleet of 30 vehicles, offering services such as car and coach contracts, mini-bus hire, transport for the disabled, a day excursion and holiday tours programme, together with a local bus service from Dorchester through to Charminster, Forston and Charlton Down taking in Statton and Bradford Peverell and Dorchester Town Services.

Les Watts puts his sucess down to hard work and sheer determination, together with the help of good, loyal staff.
